Classical Book Club
PEACH offers a Classical Book Club for members 6th through 12th grade.
Students meet every other month to discuss books of excellence while learning Biblical discernment in reading literature, all in a moderated discussion environment. Each student brings with them a little research on the author and bring one “fact” with them to each book club meeting. This fact could be very general (where they were born, where they lived, etc), or could be something unusual or unique.
Students learn to enjoy reading and discussing excellent literature. They are encouraged to participate but not feel self-conscious by having to answer
questions “on the fly”.
Each club meeting opens in prayer and then discussion begins. And of course, what teen gathering wouldn't be complete with refreshments!
This Years Books Include:
September - Across Five Aprils
November - Oliver Twist
January - Treasure Island
March - The Fellowship of the Ring
May - Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea
