Our Benefits
PEACH holds
bi-monthly meetings from August through
May each school year. Speakers and programs are designed to encourage
and educate homeschooling parents. The meetings are generally
held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 7:00-8:30 PM at Hunter's Glen Baptist Church is located on 4001 Custer Road in Plano, north of Parker and south of Spring Creek. Click Here for Map to Hunter's Glen Baptist Church. Click here
or our calendar page to see the dates for meetings and activities.
PEACH publishes
a monthly e-newsletter. PEACH Buzz keeps our members
up-to-date with field trips, activities, opportunities for service
and homeschooling in the news, as well as accepting articles and
ads from our members.
PEACH Flashes are sent out via email to provide information, recommendations, and items of interest to our PEACH Members. These are sent out as needed, usually one email per week.
PEACH
publishes a member directory. In addition to names, addresses
and phone numbers, the directory provides information on ages
of children, curriculum in use, and family interests and hobbies.
Members only.
PEACH
members are involved in weekly and monthly group activities. These
activities include field trips, gymnastics classes, roller-skating,
ice-skating, and bowling. We also have "Park Days" in Plano for
more fellowship and fun.
PEACH
members are entitled to a discount when they join the Home
School Legal Defense Association or Texas
Home School Coalition . We encourage our members to join one
or both of these organizations, which provide legal advocacy and
support for homeschooling families in Texas and throughout the
nation. See our Resources/Link page for more information.
PEACH
makes other homeschooling resources available to its members.
For example, we keep current editions of the Texas
Home School Coalition Handbook for purchase. THSC monitors
government policies and activities in Austin, and they publish
a Handbook every year, covering homeschooling in Texas.
PEACH
sponsors a Used Book Sale in the late spring. We also facilitate
the opportunity to buy, sell, or trade curriculum between members
at other times of the year, through our e-newsletter and bi-monthly
meetings.

PEACH
sponsors our own Boy Scout & Cub Scout
